 Commerce Ningbo Liaison Office welcomed on board

On 3 September, The Bauhinia welcomed its new occupant, Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce.

Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China is a non-profit national chamber of commerce approved by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of the State Council (predecessor of the Ministry of Commerce) and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs in 1993. At present, it has established branches in 11 regions including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, Wuhan, Shandong, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Liaoning, Fujian and Guangxi, with thousands of members.

Since July 2017, it has been officially upgraded and renamed as Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China-Zhejiang, with members from Hong Kong-funded enterprises in industries such as finance and trade, professional services, transportation and logistics, hotel and catering, real estate development, manufacturing, cultural and innovation technology, education, medical care and health, including Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, Xiaoshan International Airport, KPMG, Ernst & Young, H3C, MTR Corporation Limited, Kerry Properties, The Wharf, Sun Hung Kai, New World Development, Raffles, Centaline Property, Cushman & Wakefield, Jones Lang LaSalle, East Asia, Hang Seng, HSBC, Nanyang Commercial Bank and many other foreign-funded banks and well-known enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises. With the increasing number of members and influence, Ningbo Liaison Office officially started operation in March 2018.

Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China-Zhejiang has attracted famous Hong Kong enterprises and business elites in Zhejiang. So far, it has held a series of activities such as business investigation and negotiation, government coordination, chamber of commerce exchange, lecture and forum, and recreation and sports, aiming at strengthening its influence and enhancing the quality of work and life of its members. Adhering to the tenet of “acquaintance, business exchange and win-win”, it will expand the depth and breadth of exchange and cooperation between Hong Kong and Zhejiang, and pool business information, experience and opportunities to strive for win-win or even all-win.

Relocation of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce-Ningbo Liaison Office to The Bauhinia marks the far-reaching influence of The Bauhinia as a Hong Kong-funded investment project and shows its strength.

Leaders of the United Front Work Department of Ningbo and Hong Kong and Macao Division of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Ningbo Municipal People’s Government, representatives from Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee, Quan Jinglian Real Estate Club, enterprises stationed in The Bauhinia and business associates attended the event.

Mo Dingjian, General Manager of Yongshang Real Estate and The Bauhinia, delivered an opening speech, expressing his gratitude to the guests present and the expectations of the event.

After the unveiling ceremony, the guests visited and had a meal at the mall of The Bauhinia.
